Waist

Measure around your natural waist (where your belly button sits).

2

Hips

Measure around the widest part of your hips and bum.

3

Helpful tip

Measure on your bare skin or over underwear (not jeans) and don’t pull the tape too tight.

It's all in the fit

Fri Period underwear is designed to fit and flatter all body types and sizes. Choosing the perfect fit is also a matter of personal preference. If in doubt, we recommend sizing up.

✨ Pro tip: size up for hipsters

Due to the cut of our low-rise hipsters, we find most people have to size up for this shape. For example, if you're buying the classic briefs in size Medium, we recommend choosing Large for the low-rise hipsters.

Your fit questions answered

  • Your hip measurement is the circumference of the widest part of your hips.
  • Your waist measurement is the circumference around your waist (where your belly button sits).

If you find your waist and your hip measurements fall in different categories in the chart above, then we would recommend choosing the size that best aligns with your hips first. This is more likely to provide the best fit for you.

We know it can be hard to get sizing 100% right when ordering online. If you're happy with your products but the sizing isn't quite right, email us at hello@friperiod.com.au with your order number and details, and we'll send the right size out to you at our cost.

Please note this is available only to first time customers and for one order.

Not sure where you land? Totally normal — bodies don’t follow charts.

We recommend:

  • If your waist and hips fall into different sizes → choose based on hips
  • If you’re between sizes → size up for comfort and better coverage
  • If bloating is common for you → size up (especially during your period)

Comfort > squeezing into a size that doesn’t love you back.

If you have questions about finding the right fit that we have't been able to answer here, please email us at hello@friperiod.com and we'll be so happy to help!
